Correct. You would only have to clearance for the extra inch of outboard width, which shouldn't take more than a little firewall massaging at most.

The only issue I see with that is that if you do swap between street and trail tires, you would have to put the spacers on and off every time as well. The 17x8.5 0 offset wheel would have -25.4 offset with your spacer, so it would sit a half inch further in than your current wheels do, and the outside would be at the same location you currently are.

that is a good point, but I dont see the spacers taking more than 3-4 min/wheel (conservative, probably quicker) and if I went a decent trip once a month, I could accept that. the beadlocks already require quadruple check tq'ing haha so whats another couple mins.

valid point though and def something to think about.

If you're going to have two sets of wheels/tires I'd build DIY steelies and not worry about weight/balance. I'm liking these or similar due to their DD apeal. Working on selling the wifey on the safety/comfort aspect vs cost savings on the steelies. Still broke however......

Either option let's you delete the spacers and retain stance. This was my plan as well.

everyone's gotta learn somehow right? (def not trying to bash the person by any means! I just didnt think anyone would keep something like that and at least practice a little more before putting it on a vehicle)

Fortunately, with the advent of modern science they've determined the actual cause of this issue. I am perfectly happy at avoiding it, and enjoy my zero car seat mod status.

I was going to do my own RTT (off TW) GB but I'm really not feeling that its worth the hassle. I got some AWESOME prices on lock but people will just irritate me to no end so I'm opting for the current GB. I'll spend a couple hundred more to keep my sanity.

MY RTT GB would beat it. By at least 100-200 dollars. ;)
