Wheelers Off Road, standard extended line, it is close but not tight. Not my truck either but that is my hand up under it's skirt.

Does anyone have any idea where I could find this or what it's called? Its the little plastic knob that the gas door hooks onto, goes where that square hole is. Somehow I broke it while putting my bed back together.

Air bag system on these trucks are pretty simple. If there has been no accident to trigger the SRS ECU, then the only thing that can cause the light to come on is a bad connection.

When the truck is first started, the SRS ECU does a system check. This check is nothing more than a continuity check. The SRS ECU is checking the resistance at all the sensors on the truck. If you have a bad sensor, you get the light. If you have a connector not seated fully, you get the light.

Sensors to check first: Look at the connectors and crash sensors on the front frame and core support. There have been reports of corrosion on the sensor connectors.

The ribbon cable or clock spring assembly located under the horn in the steering column can fail as well. When this goes, sometimes you get erratic turn signal or horn malfunction. A common cause to fail the ribbon cable is when the steering rack is replaced and the wheel is not locked in position. People accidently turn the steering wheel more than 3.5 turns right or left. It breaks the ribbon cable. Fortunately, this part is pretty cheap.

One thing nice about SRS on all cars is the wiring is covered with a very bright yellow loom or sheathing. It the only wiring that uses this color and it really stands out. Chase these cables down and look for issues that could cause a poor connection.

Another nice thing about the SRS is that if you have a fault or check air bag light, is once the issue is fixed, the light goes away on its own. You don't need a code clearing tool.

That would be 2.5 turns left or right of center.

Replaced the pos aftermarket rack today with a brand spanking new OEM from our friends at Toyota. Totally worth it.

After hooking up the rack, I had 1 3/4 turn from center, left or right, in the steering wheel. It went full lock both ways and was consistent, I assume it was ok?

I assume you are talking about a steering wheel that is unhooked from the rack?

    A thing of beauty.
Yes, your fine. The spiral cable cartridge itself allows a total of 5 turns from "bind to bind" or "when resistance is felt" in Toyota speak.

    improved toyota goodness.
check the white connector under the drivers seat... my airbag light was solid on for a while ever since I disconnected the plug to do some sound proofing and forgot to reconnect it... reconnecting it turned my light off and the light hasn't come back on since.

Dealership purchase, I did the work, overpaid of course. Everything is tight for the moment though, so hopefully it sticks this time. :)

Mines like always on, I've given up on the airbag system tried fixing it a few times but it's gotta be a busted wire with how it's so intermittent.
