I'd just stain or varnish it & leave it at that. Looks simple, but classy. You do nice work.

 

Nice truck! Did your camper shell leak at all? I'm also in Cali and my leer shell leaks like a faucet when raining. If you did anything special to help seal it, I would love to know. Thanks

 

Love how the grill turned out. Any pics of it on the truck? Tempted to do mine after seeing this. You said extra grill, does this mean that one is for sale?

 

Just finished the install. Super easy, no broken tabs, took less than an hour.

I'm going to hold onto my stock stuff for this truck. It only has 90 miles on it.. I want to hold onto the stock stuff right now.

I have used Royal Purple gear oil, always had good luck. Changing my differential oil tomorrow using it.

 

I'm not sure you'd ever be able to tell the difference in gear oils as long as they meet mfr spec

Hey MT, we got almost 2" of rain and drove in it last night and my Snugtop was dry inside. Before I even bought the topper I caulked under the black plastic cap that surounds the top of the bed. Then I had the topper installed. That night I had my kid shine a flashlight around the perimeter of the bed and found openings where the light would peek through while inside the shell. That was sealed and now its been leak proof. Good luck and let us know if this helps you.

 

I loved the pro grill at first glance. It quickly lost its appeal, I prefer my SR grill. I'll be working on my custom grill behind the SR grill this weekend.

 

Does that roof rack create any cabin noise From the wind

 

It breaks my heart seeing what Toyota makes for the rest if the world. FJ Cruisers, LandCruiser 70, Desireable accessories . *sigh*
