I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
Remember that when you go and complain about an actual problem with your truck and that sweet, kind, fair dealer tells you "we couldn't replicate the problem" or "well, since you put those vent shades on, that must be why your truck won't shift out of park".

And this isn't exactly why I wouldn't feel bad lying to the dealer to have them fix stitching on a seat that was my fault. Good for you getting your refund.

As I've said before in different words, my integrity depends on my choices and actions. The other party is irrelevant.

Right and wrong don't change just because I'm upset or frustrated.

Sort of like the old story of Churchill or whoever asking a woman if she'd sleep with him for £1 million. She said yes, so he asked if she would for £10 whereupon she slapped him saying she wasn't a whore. He said she'd already proven she was, and now they were negotiating her price. Whether true or not, the story makes a good point -- she was willing to sell her body if the price was high enough, so she utterly lost the ability to say she wasn't a whore. She just was more highly priced than others.

So I guess it boils down to how cheaply someone will sell off their integrity. You'd think we'd value more highly one of the few things nobody can take from us by force.

For sure, totally understand. That turned out fantastic! What intructions did you give to the paint shop to get that color and finish? And how much did that run if you don't mind me asking?

They understood the whole plastic chrome grill thing and that paint wouldn't stick well unless properly prepped. Asked them to sandblast and make sure the clear coats were thick.

    Hey TwoHawks,
Thanks for the info and guidance, definitely helps. I'm definitely going to have to take it off and caulk the bed caps and any other gaps. When you caulked, did you just lift them up and caulk underneath, or did you take them off all together? What kind of caulking did you use? Really appreciate the help and we are practically.neighbors. I am in San Mateo area.

Yeah, glad to help. I didn't remove the cap but be sure to run a clean rag to remove any dust and or moisture under the cap and bed body. Use painter's tape to keep the black silicone chalk off the paint. There's that big gap at the upper inside corners at the front of the bed. Right now is a good time to use a light to find those gaps. Just make sure everything is dry for it to work right. Before you start ck to see if it wasn't the installers shoddy work first. I used a caulking gun with black silicone, GE I think, you'll use a fair amont.. Where you buy it from?

Looks good! Did you get your top at Leisure West on Portola? I priced out a Leer XR, and it was a little more than I wanted to spend, I might go Tepui instead.
