Here it is - I just mounted it with stainless steel screw clamps - I think I used 2 1/2". Three per side works great and never comes loose. If you grab the awning you can rock the truck with it, so it seems pretty secure. I pretty well had it on the truck all summer, except for a highway 401 road trip, and then I took it off for the noise. Its ok up to about 80KM/hr.

The awning is a 55" CVT, which petty well fits the truck perfectly as you can see. All the exterior accessories tonneau etc and trim are black on a silver truck, so I got lucky that the stow bag comes in black. The only problem I've had with it was when I go into downtown Toronto and need to park in a garage. Sometimes I need to take it off to fit in, you have to be really careful, haha. So far so good, my antenna always hits first to remind me. The nice thing about the screw clamps is that it only takes a couple of minutes to take it off.

Have had some trouble trying to find a genuine OEM Toyota roof rack as well...the only ones I can find are advertised for the 3rd gens, 17’s and 18’s only...but some of the knockoffs I see state they’ll fit 2nd and 3rd gens. I’m looking for one for a 2nd gen, 2006 specifically...anybody know if they are in fact cross gen compatible?

They are compatible. The roofline is the same for 2nd and 3rd gen.

I may be a little late, but I bought one from Camelback Toyota in Phoenix, AZ, and it gets here tomorrow. Do I remove the rubber type glue that sits on top of the predrilled holes, or do I leave them there, and add the included washers? I don't want mine to leak.

What is the max weight capacity?

They don't fit properly. My OEM rack doesn't fit properly either.

I ordered one from ebay and it didn’t come close to fitting. Had to get ebay and PayPal included to get my refund. Ended up getting a oem installed on vacation...
