So when I'm playing music from my phone from Spotify or Apple Music, (Bluetooth or AUX) the album art doesn't show up even though I have that setting selected. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think that when you're using Bluetooth it doesn't even try to pull the album art for the file. Instead it linksnto Gracenote and downloads the album art which is often wrong or generic.

I just put all of my music on a flash drive and leave it plugged into the USB port on the dash. If the files on the drive have properly embedded artwork it shows up just fine.

That's a good idea, i never thought to do that. I have a USB port but I'm not sure it connects to the head unit or not, it's by the cigarette lighter. I have a bunch of songs on my iTunes on computer that can't transfer to my iPhone for some reason, that may be a way to play them. If it in fact does connect to the head unit

Yep. That's the one. It goes straight to the head unit.

Doesn't the SR only have the base Entune, which maybe doesn't show album art?

Is there any way to organize into files / folders / albums?
I could not make this work on my Gen2 so never bothered on current truck.

Bluetooth works for me. It probably just is generic gracenote, as you say. Rarely is it album specific.

I used Media Monkey to make sure all of the mp3 meta data was correct and they system can read it all. It easily lets me sort by album, artist , genre, etc.

I'm sure there are many other programs that let you edit mp3 metadata. I incorporated the album art into the meta data itself instead of leaving it as a separate file. It works great. The only grip I have is that there doesn't seem to be a way to use playlists.

OK, so let's say you are iTunes exclusive with no MP3s....
    Probably out of luck?

No you can use iTunes to create a standard mp3 from the original source file. I've had to do it for my daughter's iPod.

I'm wondering if it's a Spotify/ Apple Music thing since you own a subscription but you don't "own" any songs. I'll have to see what I can do about a USB.
