Yeah I saw that video and I took it off but when trying to put it back on I saw that stud in my picture sticking out from the bed and now I don't know where to put the bolt back in. I feel like a nut may have fell off and I can't find anywhere that shows the components on the bed itself where the bolt goes. wish I would have looked right when I removed the cover.

Mine had pretty much an anchor nut. When I took mine off, nothing moved, aligned the cover and popped the bolt right back in..

In your second picture it looks like you have the bolt upside down. The bolt goes in from the top down not up from underneath.

That second picture isn't the bolt though. it's a stud with a nut underneath it. It's on there tight and I never touched that. that's what is confusing me and why I feel like I'm missing something because it makes no sense to my why that stud is even there on the bed

The dealer perhaps installed the cover wrong, or substituted parts before delivery.

The pic looks to me like an alternative to the bolt. It looks like a stud that would then use a wing nut to avoid having to have a 12mm socket or wrench handy to remove the bolt. I have the factory cover and it just has the 12mm bolt and there is no way that the head can come off the bolt so disregard that advise.

Yeah I figured it out finally my girlfriend found that plastic wing nut with the stud on the ground thinking it went there and tightened it on there but she didn't remember until I pulled my hair all out haha. so took out the stud put cover down and bolt went right in! no idea where those two pieces came from though but at this point i dont care lolThanks to everyone for helping!

Does this bed cover make a lot of vibration noise when you drive?

I have not noticed any vibration from it. it is a pretty secure cover. the only thing is I have heard it is a little more inconvenient than other covers that roll all the way back or are a bit lighter. overall I am happy with it though!!

Thanks yeah i was considering the roll away covers but the also come with a big price tag. Thats why I am looking into reasonable options instead thanks for your opinion.
