I can totally see that. It looks like the little deck/porch area doesn't tie in well to the next building. It might have to be a stand alone.

Here's my Christmas village... I need more space (and LEGOs)!

I love this. I want to do the same thing. Too bad the retired Winter Village sets are so expensive.

It's always fun to set this up. It's a shame how expensive the retired sets are! LEGOs in general are already expensive.

So the Detective Office is now mine. I figure rack up on the double points and use them on the new assembly square next year. Anything helps that $280 price tag.

So this set was retired by Lego on 25 Oct 16. So I suggest getting while the getting is good. Once you are forced to buy from the secondary market, the prices will be dumb.

More FYI. If you were interested in the Lego Scooby Doo theme. You should buy now. They've retired 3 of the 5 sets already. Think of them as investments in next years Halloween display.

    Just the basics
My haunted house has been on permanent display for several years now. It was the biggest set I own until the recent purchase of the Sandcrawler.

I'm jealous. I missed the haunted house and now it's way to much for me to buy.

When I got back into Lego I never thought I'd have or get as many sets as I got. I don't regret any of them though. One day I'll be able to build and display them the way I want.

Too much for you? I think you have almost as much sets as Jangbricks, Brickshow, and Brickqueen.

Lol. They have me beat by a miles. Had I'd never stopped buying Legos then I might be close. I have a good amount of Star Wars sets but none of the early UCS ones. Basically 2013 and on I've done well. Now I'm looking at getting current sets before I miss out on them (the the creator cat sets). That VW van can't last forever.
