First a test if u know what this is then we can continue.



Lol

Jack up the rav and put a stand under it on the jack point on the body.
Take the tire off.
Jack up the Lower control about one inch to take the load off the shock. Remove the two lower shock mont bracket bolts



Take the bracket off the shock.
So now you have this stuff



Now take the top shock bolt out. Good luck.



Everything is 17mm.

Put the new shock in with impact plates facing front if they have them.


Make sure the top bolt is tight. Hard to get leverage for it.
Put the lower bracket on the shock and hand tight. Install lower bracket to lower control arm. Remember hand start those two bolts or u will regret it. Tighten down then tighten lower shock bolt. Install the tire an repeat on the other side. Long wrenches help and a pipe for leverage for the top bolt. After u call me names ill laugh.

 

Holy sheep dip... I am now finishing up from this clusterfuk. I've been vertical 38 hours, and have a 45 min drive home... Time for another energy shot.
