I lived in Chelsea bofore. My friend owns the hookah lounge, Tangeirino. Then lived in Beacon hill for a years. That was nice, walk to 1 Beacon for work, and walk home.

    Nice place
    Great money to make

Couldn't deal with not driving my sports cars and sports bikes

Though our underground parking and state street building underground parking had people daily driving gallardo, r8, and even murcielago all winter

    I wasn't that brave

Gets harder each year to manage financially..plus winter and I don't get along. I'm about 40 min south, near Bridgewater State

The worst. Costs a fortune to heat my house, plus 2 yrs ago it ruined my roof and busted plumbing.

I have basically the same attitude. When I'm ready to buy here in a few years it will be a 900-1000sqft with an unfinished basement. fixer upper too! I have my brother to rope into making it nice on the cheap, lol. Though in 10years or so I will end up with my childhood home my father built. That'll be a headache of 3,000 sqft, but worth it for keeping it int he family and land.

What's that supposed to mean??:angrygirl: haha

I bought at age 30 and already knew kids weren't an option, which helped.

Fixer upper would be an improvement from what I bought. I'll post more later but short version is every room has been gutted.

I used to think the same about keeping a family home. My grandmother built their house while grandaddy was in WWII. When my gram passed, my mom rented out the house to friends.

After a while, she thought about selling. I told her no, left my job in another state to move into that house.
Though small, the property was huge and hadn't been maintained well for years. Took all I had to just keep up and even longer to get ahead on it.
After a while, I got fed up. Told her I was moving out and she was free to sell it.
As much as I loved that house, had great childhood and adult memories from it, in the long run it just wasn't worth the hassle.

I had a couple months of regret after moving out but I got over it and doing so put me where I am today. No regrets whatsoever.

After 22 years of moving around and living in base housing, they're taking me out of here on a stretcher. I am NOT moving again.

Amen! I both agree and disagree.

Husband was 20 years Navy, we moved. A lot. We are still up for new adventures in new places. Still lots to see and do. So far our post mil moves have been done by the govt. I can't say I look forward to having to move my own stuff. But it sure makes it easier having less stuff!

Being me, this was only a matter of time.
Door swung open at the pump onto a pillar.

It's not noticeable when the door is closed. Any suggestions what to seal it with? Or is there some touch up paint I can buy?
    ...
Going to buy some gaudy plastic lips so I don't do it again :/.

Yup that's the plan. I want to do something to fix it for now so I don't get a tiny rust spot, lol.
