What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did a quick and easy mod today after finishing the yard work. Like having my maglite mounted in the glove box rather than on the seats. Personal preference I guess. Took all of 5 mins.

 

You're glove box is so empty...I wish I had room to do that. Mine is crammed packed.

 

Never fear. What's the old saying? A neat desk(or in this case, glove box) is a sure sign of a cluttered mind.

 

Would be super interested in this. I like it. Very clean looking

 

Why he still has the shelf in his glove box that is why. No room for anything with that in there. I jerked mine out the 1st week. Half a roll of paper towels fit in there now. I got a leatherette case from my dealer for the manuals so they are all out of site.

 

True I still have the shelf in so not a lot of space. But even with it out, the Maglite still doesn't lie the way I want and it bangs around all over the place. And with it mounted this way, keeps it in one spot and still leaves me with plenty of space for other things.

Had some pretty nasty ruts, and some hills covered in fallen leaves. 25 degree on the inclonometer or so.

With that said the truck did great. I am not a fan of crawl on the lowest setting. It is violent and probably would be detrimental if in very soft mud, or clay going up or down a hill. I used in on a hill descent, and it just was too rough.

Got away without any pin stirpes too. Cut back the brush for easier hunting this year.

Damn I learned something today! Didn't know the shelve in the glove box came out, thought it was worthless glove box I ever seen! GOSH, I love you guys and this forum!

 

Your cabin air filter access panel is basically the whole back panel of the glove box. Now you've learned 2 things today!

 

Yeah just give it a couple good yanks and it comes right out.

 

The sensors are mounted at an angle at the ends of the original plastic bumper. The problem is that the sonar signal is confused by the metal ends on the replacement bumper. Nonetheless, I'm going to try a non-angle, flat mount (metal-to-metal) on the FF bumper soon. It won't be as effective as an angled mount but it might work. We'll see...

 

How you liking the grille mesh so far? I'm still thinking the plastic mesh from custom car grilles.
