    I was wondering what the exhaust re-route option did when ordering the skid. So is it the same exact skid and they just give you spacers or is the skid manufactured differently depending on the option you choose? Thanks

    I'm curious what it would take to reroute it to the other side of the truck so no need to cross over.
    Get rid of the Y and just have two separate pipes.

    It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    It just changes shape, not volume. These aren't really high performance systems to begin with anyway.

    I gotta go look, but I believe that bend isn't mandrel bent. It's a traditional pipe vender bend which indeed does restrict flow. But yeah I doubt you'll see this performance wise.

    Not entirely true from what I dealt with in work experience. Used to work for a non union electrical company that also had a HVACR side and when we were slow on electrical we'd go on the mechanical side, so got some experience there as well.
    Long story short we were doing one job for a dehumidifier and went with a square duct instead of round, thought we could just hammer the round one into the squarish shape. From what the mechanical's side foreman told us was no. You'd think its the same cubic airflow and what not but nope. When you get into a square shape you need to go much larger. Really not sure why but it is code here. From what I understand the square shape actually restricts flow. We could've went with a 12 inch round. But for this job had to go with a 6"x24" rectangle.

    Noticed the same thing a few times just on job sites where they had restrictions on height in spots so went from round duct to square duct and when it went to square it was much larger than the round.

    So when it comes to exhaust I'd think it would be the same case?
    Think of a straw, blow through it without pinching the end and it won't really whistle, squeeze the end a little and it will start to whistle. Same space but different air velocity which could restrict flow in a way.

    Stacked spacer lift, 22x12 wheels with stretched 33's, tow mirrors, bull nuts.
    Here is a pic of mine. Cost me 160 bucks for the reroute, to have a muffler welded in and to chop my tailpipe.

    Square vs squished round is different. I think there will be unnoticeable and maybe even unmeasurable differences. I have dynos from before and after I accidentally dented in the midpipe on my track bike with a rubber mallet pretty substantially while trying to seperate it from the headers and they are almost identicle.

    depends on your tolerance levels I guess.
    Sure in this application doesn't matter, but in some sort of industry type applications it would. I agree you most likely will not notice a difference.
    Just trying to say that if its dented it does in fact change it.
    Look at trumpets and any sort of brass instruments, one dent can totally fuckin ruin the final note.

    I believe it's a flatter plate, too. But you should contact RCI.
    I didn't know Pelfreybilt made a 4 cylinder transfer skid plate. It's not on their website
    You would need to move ghe gas tank

    They make both options in either steel or aluminum. I went aluminum.
