What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Im curious regardless of cost or fault what else the shaking has effected

 

I used to be all about toyo's but I've only heard all good things about these. Plus they look sweet.

Seeing as how i just bought her a few weeks ago.. i decided to get ahead of winter and do some good Ole maintenance on the truck. I found receipts from the previous owner showing spark plugs replacement, a steering service, and some general oil and tire replacements all in the last few thousand miles. Knowing the truck has 70k on her I decided too..

Drain and fill the...
Front diff. (Dirty)
Rear diff. (Dirty)
Transfer case (almost new)
And replace brake pads ( on their last leg)
And add some new rotors (old ones looked rusty)
Also greased the propeller shaft
Annnd cleaned up a few minor area that had started to gather some surface rust.

Thinking tomorrow I'll do the rear drum brakes, tighten the ebrake, and top off the radiator fluid as all the other fluids are fill and clean. Maybe wash her down too. Plus whatever else I can think of.

Yep, fairly easy. I think I spent around $20 on the materials for the mount. The light bar on the other hand... lol

 

Removed front mudguards, washed her and installed husky front mudguards. Looks better.

 

Cleaned the ever living piss out of it.





Washed the frame, then the engine bay, then the bed, then the wheels and tires using my new Adams Polishes tools, switched out my bucket and cleaning tools, washed the body and door jams. Then dried it all and washed the bed mat. Left it sit over night to dry out. The next morning, pulled the wheels to wax them and fluid filmed the frame. Then rotated the tires when reinstalling. Then clay bar'd with Meguiar's clay bar kit. Paint sealed with Adams Polishes paint sealer then Waxed with their Americana wax. Then added tire shine with their new Tire shine. Finally, I touched up my plastics with Mother's Back to Black.

All in all, about 15 hrs. But a true labor of love for this silly truckster.

Installed the URD fuel pump upgrade in Saturday. Today I washed the truck and ordered a second AFR gauge and a second LC-2 for the supercharger install.

Sweet pics. Could you talk a bit about your ditch lights? Been wanting to do those forever but the "trimming" has been the major deterrent. How much and how difficult is it? Is the light output significant? C'mon convince me to get these!
