Depends on where you are. Up here in Canada they are only releasing 200 or so of them and there's more than 250 dealerships in Canada so less than 1 per dealer. I had deposits at 3 dealers in the end and got lucky on a cancellation to get mine.

I think in the US there's more like 2000-3000 being released but there's not an awful lot.

I ordered mine here in Vegas on August 16th and it's supposedly being built on November 2nd with delivery 7-10 days after. The prices I saw on cars.come seem a bit high, I'm paying $44,200 after add ons.

If you happen to hear of another Canadian dealer with one in stock, please let me know. Looking specifically for a MT, so that makes it that much harder.

It's always been her truck. She's extremely attached to it.

For those that think their truck is perfect, do not be surprised later. Delay in R to D, hunting transmission, and squeaky rear leaf were not noticed on the test drive or ride home. But they sure arrived later. But my 14-year old Tacoma I just replaced was not perfect either!

that MT makes it more than much harder lol... I've been post-deposit for 9 weeks and my salesman had to transfer me to another dealer due to the unpredictable allocations around here. my new salesman told me he has tracked the MT Pros, and there are not more than 3 physical units available at any given time. he's referring to the US, and I'm in the Gulf states.

Took me 3.5 months to wait for my TRD PRO 6MT.

Now there are 3 sitting on lots in a 1000 mile radius of me, asking MSRP.

... ^^^ ... A Toyota dealer in Marietta, GA was asking $5,000.00 over MSRP on it's first van when they originally came out ... ... saw another one in a parking lot and took this pic. last week.

(collector's item pricing, it was highest priced van maybe in US at the time ).

    Paperowrk?

I bought two new cars to CA this year. Selling out of state dealer did everything. I had to take the new cars to DMV via appointment, where in 20 min one staffer came out to the parking lot and did "VIN VERIFICATION"

    That was the "only paperwork"

For me one way plane ticket and getting acquainted with car is worth it.

But to each his own. I couldn't wait till next year when the products are available so close.

    Good luck

Thanks! I looked it up and this option is starting to look more and more tempting especially since AAA can do the vin verification.

    Sometime in Aug, still waiting.

2000 miles on my pro, not one complaint, not even a rattle, shifting is smooth, no noises, the more miles on it the better it gets,, looking at tires, needs some 265/75/16's load-C,,, toyo's or cooper at3 probably,,,

2:50 through the video. He says the pro is one inch wider. Does anyone know what makes the pro wider? He also says 2" of lift. I thought the pro was .5" taller than the other models? Any help understanding will be greatly appreciated .

They talk a bit about the differences on the Pro here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YWn3jril6U

What it actually seems to be is the Pro sits at the same height as the off road but with the tweeks made the approach angles are slightly better and the wheels base is slightly wider.

I suspect the wider stance is due to the offset of the pro rims

    .
FYI ... One of my gym rat buddies just ordered a 2017 TRD Pro and dealer said 2 months and MRSP with no regional or dealer add-on's.

His first choice was cement and second choice was white I think.

Dealer insisted on 2 color choices

Now I want one ... but I need to save my money for my next move.
