Once it is off you should be able to tell if your clip is on the axle stub or not.

Got my new SPC Light Racing UCA's put on last week and had the 5100s adjusted from 0 to the first setting (.85) to help get rid of the massive rake I had going on previously (still a bit of rake but doesn't bother me anymore)

    Loving the new UCAs

I have a 2002 V6 auto 4wd, with the A340F (30-40LE) tranny. It takes type IV fluid. Which tranny do you have? ID plate is on the passenger side of transmission. There are a few good options- OEM, Mobil 1, or Valvoline, and so on. Now you'll find more brands, but just stay with full synthetic type IV. Call your dealer service department and ask their opinion, and what brand they'd use. Their answer surprises me sometimes. The OEM parts that people rave about being Toyota, are the exact same brands on my Honda rancher, Suzuki eiger, & Kawasaki mule. Check Amazon for OEM parts & supplies before buying from the dealers.

Your probably a quart low, if your dipstick is at the low mark. I'd pour 1/2 quart in and check the level at operating temp.

    I hope this helps you.

I believe I have the A340E iirc because mines a Prerunner. thanks for the info
I just thought it was odd that it wasn't near the hit mark when I checked it when a hit engine and tranny. I'll go buy some atf tomorrow. seems Valvoline is the popular choice on TW. also I think that's what I had put in it when I got it flushed, because the lube shop I worked at used Valvoline products for our premium services. That was about 4 years ago, it's comong back to me. I just don't know if it was synthetic or not

@MstrYota I think my axles came with the spacers and clips, don't really remember I've only rebuilt the manual hubs twice and the first time I didn't change the axles.

There is a washer that goes on before the circlip that you are also missing.

That I don't know, if you can find an exploded view of a CV axle for a manual hub Tacoma then chances are it'll have the part number of the clip and spacer washer and you could then order it.

I think the clip is: 9052027023
    And the washer is: 90560-27005

These both sound right when I looked up their description on Camelbak Toyota but of course their stupid site design doesn't let you see the part diagrams when you search by part number. For the 2.50 per side it would cost to order these parts it's worth the chance though.

Camel back has the part number wrong for the spacer, and no reference to the diagram.

The clip part number is #8 on the diagram.
