I've always considered umps having different strikezones to just be part of the game and something that both pitchers and hitters would recognize in the first inning or two or first at bat, and then make adjustments to plate discipline and pitch selection, but it has to be consistent and be the same for both teams.

    Some really cool shit
Exactly. It amazes me that pitchers can get their ERA's down in this era due to the size of the strike zone and the inconsistent umpiring.

That would require adding a team to each league and probably also creating four divisions, like the NFL.

Without interleague play, we'd miss out on some of the good crosstown rivalries (freeway series, subway series, battle of the bay, silver boot, etc).

I do wish that interleague play would only occur in the middle or beginning of the season. I liked it when during the playoff races, each team's games were only affecting the races in their league.

A little of this and a little of that.
Game 5. Win for the Indians = W.S. Champions. Win or go home for the Cubs.

I'm so skeptical of the Cubs know I don't weather to watch or not.

As a Red Sox fan, I'm glad I didn't give up on them in the 2004 American League Championship Series, after watching every second and them breaking new ground winning 4 in a row against the Yankees, so nothing is impossible in Baseball..."KEEP HOPE ALIVE"!!

Please remember in 2004 it was 85 years the last time we won a world series, so I know where you are coming from, even if that doesn't equal 107 years. I remember hearing how some people around here already had their tombstone engraved saying, "I never did get to see the Red Sox win a world series", But that is what will make it all the sweeter. When you do win it all, it will be even sweeter than what we experienced, which was awesome-X2. You will always regret not seeing the greatest comeback ever--"KEEP HOPE ALIVE"!!

See my good karma to you Cub fans has helped the Cubs come back!! :bananadance: :fingerscrossed:

Andrew Miller broke K-Rod's record for most strikeouts in a postseason. Rodriguez was a 20-year old rookie with less than 6 MLB innings under his belt when that postseason started, though.

Good game back to Cleveland...seen that coming when Lindor decided to stare at 3 strikes in the 8th.

Were you alive the last time Cleveland was world champs? If you are younger than 67, then you weren't, but what a great series with a combined 174 years without winning a world series. Whoever wins will deserve it greatly, but I have to admit to having a soft spot in my heart for the Cubs.

Did I have to be alive? How is that relevant? I was cheering them on in '95 and 97'. Feel better?

PEACE...Just curious, baseball is a game, so in the great scheme of life it's not relevant and I love baseball so whoever wins, baseball will be the real winner.... have a great week.
