Trimming is super easy. Takes all of 10 minutes max. Trim, test fit, trim some more, repeat until satisfied. It can take as long or as short as you want it to, depending how perfect you want it to fit.

No, my wife is from Austin, early on when we were still dating we were there atleast once a month for a week at a time, we live in Dallas and with her new job we are lucky to get down there once every few months, and it's usually a short trip.

That's a great question. I wish I had more insight as to whether or not it would effect or damage other components. Personally I would pull my tires and check for uneven break pad wear. You could even take it a step further and remove the break pads to check if the pistons are working properly. If it is the caliper, you have some ammo so to speak when talking to the service manager. Especially because you asked to have this issue looked at and you received the run around so to speak. Knowledge is power especially if you are able to speak intelligently as to what may be, or is, causing the problem. I'd politely explain your concerns and ask what they are willing to do? I wouldn't expect much though honestly. In my experience dealers will stick to the it's out of warranty and "sorry".

Didnt do anything but drive it. and while searching youtube i came across this video and it kinda makes me want to change my fuel filter and cut it open just out of curiosity.
    https://youtu.be/92TfTQTmuq4

Anyone ever change their fuel filter?

Edit: nevermind after researching ive found that our fuel filters are "lifetime" built into the tank. cool

Super easy man, the trimming is nothing. It's just trimming that dumb plastic cowl a little bit. I actually used my swiss army pocket knife to do it. Just kept shaving off a little bit at a time and got it to fit. That being said, I broke one of those dumb little screws that hold it in the side because I wasn't sure how they came out and of course guessed wrong. Easily replaced though.

As far as the lights go, they are great. They are super bright and sturdy on the brackets. My only complaint is the little bracket that actually mounts to the light pod, the one that then mounts to the hood brackets, is a PITA to mount to the pod. They didn't make that easy, I had to use needle nose pliers to hold the nut down "inside" the light to be able to mount it. Took longer than it should have.
