good to know. we'll take a looksee this afternoon. killed the a/c, put bowls and towels under the HVAC...then came to work.

 

What's the consensus on home warranties? i've been considering it, again, via American Home Shield. They treated me well the first year I had the house.

 

Never had one. Only thing we've ever done was a service contract with the A/C company where they came out 4 times a year and checked and cleaned the coils on the A/C unit. Also allowed us to get 24 hour service at the regular rate instead of emergency rates. Don't have that anymore though. Bought a complete new unit a few years ago. They did come out on a Sunday and didn't charge when the old one went out.
