Maps have a lot to do with what class will be good and in my opinion it's not the super that's important it's the grenade choice. Year 1-2 double radiance warlock with fire bolt was so overpowered it was disgusting. End of year two wombo combo hunters were crazy. Well placed grenades are game changers.

Fusion Grenades are the thing with me now. That seems to be the only redeeming quality of WL's at the moment. I'm a fucking surgeon with them and running double grenades helps a lot. Add to that a well timed revive and you can wipe out an enemy team if all our team is down. I love reviving at the last second and destroying the other team with fusion grenades before they know what hit them. If the matches last long enough I'll generally get 2 revives.

It really wasn't that bad. Took me about 10 Crucible matches to get that part done. Honestly the hardest part is getting a Skeleton Key to drop. After that go to the Summoning Pit strike and pick hard, burn through that strike, loot the chest, and you will have Thorn right then.

Scored a God Roll scout from Shax... High rate of fire, explosive rounds, and Firefly. Dream come true. It was doing a really good job in the Crucible and excellent in PVE.

Not a bad weapon at all. I would contend that the Cryptic Dragon is slightly better (with the right rolls). The one I've got had max stability, hits harder than the Multi Tool, and has the same fire rate along with Firefly and Outlaw. That basically makes it a Fatebringer Scout Rifle. I picked up the Hero Formula yesterday after Trials with a similar roll but the fire rate is a little slower.

I've got to say that I'm a little miffed that this happened. Had a full set of Legacy IB gear (level 3 with no stats but great perks) sitting in my vault. I infused it into my raid gear (which I hated the look of) which had Tier 11 stats that were amazing. I assumed (as has always happened in the past) that when I infused the IB items into my raid gear they would take the same base stats. That was not the case and I ended up getting intellect / strength or discipline / strength on all the items. Discipline is the most important stat "to me" but now I'm fucked with my stats on my main. Where I could throw a grenade every 25 secs now I can only throw one every 34 secs and no way to change it until the next IB comes out with the hopes of getting a better gear drop.

The gear looks amazing but now this character is relegated to Raiding and nothing more. Without the ability to constantly throw grenades kind of limits my play style in PvP. My other character luckily wasn't affected since I've got great rolls on a full set of Trials gear. So... once again that character is relegated to my main PvP character.

I can up that stability to almost max by switching to the other perk, but I love me some explosive rounds. If you've ever been fired on at a high rate by explosive rounds it is very disorienting because your screen is flashing and it's hard to tell where it's coming from. That's even worse with the range of a scout and that fire rate. I hit people from across the map and I can see their confusion trying figure out who is bombing them. I'll take the hit to stability to watch that entertainment.

The exotic engram drops have been shit lately too. I was popping ToC all night last night, got three exotics and all of them were crap I already had. The only one worth keeping was a 383 Nemesis Star to replace my lowly 371 version.

    I'm finally above 380, woot!

Explosive rounds are nice but in my experience (at least when I'm hit by them) it doesn't really bother me in PvP. I've actually turned off firefly for the max stability. The weapon has absolutely NO recoil and that I love. It is a headshot machine and three shots will destroy at range or 2 mid range.

In a PvE setting I turn firefly back on as it makes dealing with adds much easier.

Here is the roll I got on the Hero Formula. It has Rodeo (which is a throw away perk) but it has hand laid stock and hidden hand so that makes it a beast. I still wouldn't replace this one for my Cryptic Dragon but it is nice nonetheless. Not as nice as yours but not bad either.

I noticed that last night, I was trying to solo the Nightfall Strike and during a few section of the Sunless Cell that Firefly was totally soaking up adds with the precision explosions. That is a great perk.

Agreed. Before I leveled up the Genesis Chain to 400 I was using the Cryptic Dragon for just that purpose. The Genesis Chain is perfect for the Vosik fight since it is the only auto rifle that has explosive rounds. I'm always in the middle on that fight so it is a little harder there on HM but it destroys the adds that fall from the ceiling with firefly. Run Sunsinger with Sunbreakers for the extended length of your solar grenades helps a ton also.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
picked up a 'saladin's vigil' fusion from the forge tonight...whew that thing is a tack driver. has smallbore and enhanced battery. just wish it had something to boost the charge rate a tad. 76 stability and 65 aim assist w/ a 95 impact.

Got that thing, not impressed. Mostly because of the charge rate. I'd rather use the Trespasser or a Matador because they don't need to be charged and you don't hear them charging as you're trying to ambush someone.
