It might rain this week again correct? Weatherman Derek can you confirm. If so CC will likely be closed. I would say wait at least a week after the rainfall for it to be cleared to go up. Sucks driving from Carlsbad and it was closed. Corral Canyon is much better IMO than Pine. There are more trails there from Easy to "Are you sure we should try this". There is plenty of Mud in CC, at the end of TSD after PJ Peak it is nasty clay type mud. I was up there at least 2 weeks after it rained last time with Soundan1463...I just didn't want to hit it hard.

    - Billstein 5100's all around with OME 885 coil springs. - K&N Air Filter - HID Headlights & Fogs - Kenwood Stereo & Infinity Speakers - CB Radio, - Fog On Anytime mod - Anti Tailgate theft mod. More comming...
I went to the Pine valley trail yesterday. Well actually, we were supposed to go up to Mt Laguna but of course, no chains so no go... Since we were up there i figured i'd go give PV trail a try since i had never tried it. I have some just about done street tires and up we went. There was one area where it got a little difficult (especially with the almost bald street tires i have) but i managed to finally get some traction and keep going. All in all, a good day. I'm buyin some Nitto Terra grapplers and hopefully 5100's with my income tax return so i'll be down to try corral canyon with you guys in a few weeks.

It looks like it'll rain, but it won't nearly be as bad as last week.

I'm going to get an old Jeep after college. :)

I'd beat the hell out of it! As much as I'd love to wheel a Tacoma that hard, I just couldn't do that to a $30,000 vehicle!

Thats the plan, this one has almost 300k miles so its tired, nothing beats the 4.0l in these jeeps! I was looking for an older 4wd truck or 4runner but people think they are made of gold, even the old IFS are still expensive for what they are and the 3.0l is a piece of crap so for what you get an old jeep is a bargain
