Wasn't sure if my post above made sense so I took pictures.

It sounds like you think it has to be used like this:

But actually you can use it like this:

And fold it like this when not in use:

I shoot a canon 60d. Now replaced by the 70d or even 80d for all I know haven't been paying attention.

Dslrs are all the same just laid out differently and of course work better the high up you go.

Idk shit about nikon. But the t3i is a nice place to start. I'm sure the 5300 is too. They are just two different platforms and once you pick one you'll wanna stick with it due to lenses.

Id recommend going to bestbuy and handling both brands to see which clicks for you. The t3i will feel light and flimsy too from what I remember. why I went for the next step up.

Also my 60d has the flip out screen. Super handy for tripod photo stuff that low or high.

Yeah I'm for sure not ready for the 70D type class. Ok thanks for your input. Not a bad idea to go head down to best buy I suppose. I don't mind that screen now that I realize it can be folded in facing out. I'm going to just keep my eyes peeled for a T3i or a D3200. Sorta whichever I can find a better deal on.

The good part about the 70d is its a true prosumer camera. Bit of pro features and but of consumer ones. It's a great body to grow into. Even if you end up not getting that into it it's still a great body and easy to use imo. The buttons are nice and you don't need to go into any sub menus to change settings like the rebel serise.

But is a bit more money.

I've abused the shit out of mine and been going great. Lookin back I'm very glad I didn't go to a rebel t3i. Granted. I really enjoy photos and am ready to upgrade for a full pro type camera. But can't afford it. So glad I have some off he better performance from this body untill then.

It's hard to say how much you'll use it though so not sure that that point is relavant haha

Oh I gotcha. Yeah... well I dont think a T3i will set me back too much to justify an upgrade several years down the road. You definitely have serious photography experience so I can see why you're ready for a pro camera lol. I still barely can tell the difference between what the numbers on lenses mean
But I'm pretty sure on a mid entry level now besides the base T3, T4, T5 types. Thanks!

CVJ Axles. Had to call and order, they don't do anything online.
And greasy ass CV covered caliper! I was picking up the whole rotor/hub assembly and moving it to the other side of the LCA to clean and my hand slipped off one side and it fell straight on my finger wedging it between the LCA and either the dust shield or caliper. Not really sure which - I got it out of there real fast lol! Regrowing a cuticle is gonna suck

You don't have to use the flip out. It's just there if you want it to be.

So you didn't deglove it then? I know about the cuticle though. Got bit by a dog and split my nail in half, that fully sucked.

Being dramatic haha. I just peeled skin off the top of the finger and took the cuticle with it.
