    Still waiting for it
    I'll say it again...
There is no ordering process. You're basically paying for a "reserve" of an allocation, but there's no guareantee your dealer will actually get that allocation.

I waited 2.5 months with deposits at 2 dealers (one of which I'm still fighting to recover)- gave up, and found one in GA, negotiated a fair price, and had it shipped up. I have no faith in the "order process", as it's basically allocation luck.
If you really want one you, you need to get proactive.

Yes, the offset on the Pro's rims pushes the rim out 1/2" on each side giving you a total of 1" wider track. This also translates into the Pro's rims in theory being able to accept a larger tire since you have an additional 1/2" to play with vs the rims on any of the other Tacoma models. It would be interesting to know if you can indeed go beyond a 265/75-16 on the Pro rims without any rubbing.

Well after me coming on here Saturday talking about my friend who's been waiting and all, he takes the advice given by a few on here and searches cars.com . Finds one 35 miles away, unspoken for, and drove home with it this morning. Do I think he got the best deal possible? Probably not. But he didn't get raped, and he has his Pro now.

Well... I tested the emergency lane change capabilities of my Pro... wasn't happy about having to do that, but it worked out. I was in the right lane on the freeway here, and a mini-van was in the exit lane about to get off the freeway, then he suddenly decided he REALLY didn't want to exit there and swerved toward me. I had to swerve in to the left lane, thank god there was no traffic there at the time. The road was wet and the truck got a little squirrelly on me, but then the traction control setup basically worked everything out and it was fine. This was a HARD left swerve at maybe 70mph. If I were in my gen 2, I guarantee I would've spun or hit the center divide. My god that sucked.

So now, I'm avoiding freeways. My god, I'm paranoid about this thing.

Us PRO owners are tools, it is a requirement of ownership.

When I traded my 16 TRD OR in for the 17 PRO, they gave me a tool test. Most of us BRO/BRAS are tools, which make us perfectly malleable to purchase overpriced $42K midsize trucks :D

Lol tried to make Tacoma talk and correct him about brakes (booster) and ride being different on an off road vs. sport he was totally dismissive and "well I've owned 7 Tacomas"... asked him if I could see his pro and said it was sweet and just blew me off. Eh oh well.

We don't talk to Sport owners with fake hood scoops and we don't talk to OR owners, with less capable rigs than ours

Nope, they said in August maybe by Dec if they get any more allocations in November-ish, but if not, itll be til next year by spring. Like the other post said, its not like ordering and they make it in two months.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
...^^^... If the Tacoma was going to be my only vehicle ... a TRD Pro would be perfect ... but I think I might keep the 2016 SR5 and maybe get a fun car.

I do about a hour a day x 6 or 7 days a week at the gym ... fun time because I don't try to kill myself with exercise now :curls: ... it's fun & not torture now :muscleflexing:... and they have the best veggies sandwiches ever. :sandwich: :hungry:.

Plus, I could never take a new TRD Pro out in the mud ... would want a dedicated vehicle for that.
