I dont blame toyota for not doing push-to-start and clutch start cancel on the same truck. In theory, you could leave it in gear and push both buttons, the truck would buck forward and take off on its own.

Turning a key is easy to "undo"

If you think about it, for the life of the truck, 10k really isn't that much considering a good set of tires is around a grand, nice set of rims another grand, good lift around 4K and misc minor accessories. You're more than 3/4 of the way there.

Not including a shell if you desire, and other accessories.

I'd say 10k is spot on.

Yes, this is what I meant. Could have worded it better.

A simple sensor can solve that issue. My car will not start unless the clutch and brake are pressed.

Even new automatics you have put your foot on the brake to start the car with a KEY.

I had a set of tires left from my last truck. If i needed new ones i think i paid around 1200 for them. I put mudflaps, seat covers, window rain guards, new rims which if i remember right around 400 and some change on sale. I guess i got between 1000 and 1500 in it now not counting having to buy new tires. I never lift a truck and dont bother with unneccessary little things. i usually am almost always stock. So 10k for me no way now or no way later either. Dont bother me if other people spend that kind of money but not me the truck cost more than enough as is without me doing much modding.

Here's a mod of my 86 LC... If I can do it. Keys stay in my pocket. there's a safety that will not allow the engine to start unless the clutch is in. Because it's parked half way around the world I get to enjoy the straight diesel about once a year.
