So if KO2's are bro, then what is recommended?

Lovin my load c KO2's...we have snow here already and they handled the snow much better then my grapplers on my last truck...but they sure do throw the rocks around on gravel roads.
Btw, the bro comment is a joke in itself, and usually people who throw that around have their own image issues.

This topic has been beaten to death over the years...people just need to read through the millions of threads to make an educated decision.

I dunno, but after talking to Ryan Millen (search "Ryan Millen Toyota TRD" on YouTube) this past weekend and he was praising the stock TRD Pro tires over the KO2's, and most all other tires. Made me kinda rethink my plans. I may stick with stock for longer than I first anticipated.

Same here. I really want the BFG or Falken ATs but just got my truck and plan on wearing out the stocks first. Besides, I'm already breaking the budget on a $500 pro grill and $300 waterproof seat covers (most for fishin trips...and overall protection)

Straight off the 4wheel parts website.

Way overpriced for the outdated tread with a new sidewall.

I just paid $171 plus mount and balance for wildpeak AT3. A much better tire for much less.

That is the price I've seen, but things like Cooper ST Maxx are around $280 each, same with Duratracs. Never heard of wildpeak though

Falken Wildpeak AT3s either SL or 116T Load is what I'm looking at when the stock tires go. I'm gonna run them since I bought them with the truck, but when they wear, I'm looking forward to the Falkens. Good price, heard lots of good things from them. I like the KO2s but my wife has a 4Runner Trail and I need to find a tire that works for both of us, since we both like to leave the pavement in our vehicles, and the KO2s are too heavy and too stiff for her liking. I'm probably going to get some 17" rims on my truck to be able to have the same tire / wheel as her vehicle for simplicity too.

When buying all terrain's, I expect to pay all terrain prices. Not all terrain tires for M/T prices.

This is my first set of all terrains since the dreaded original KO's.

I'm all for M/T, they're just not necessary... unless I want to go deaf by time I get to where I'm going after the tire ages a year old.

Good tire. Just got rid of them. Lasted for 6 years until they had some pretty knarly side wall cracking.

Didn't get to wear them down past 5/32nds

Loving my Falken AT3Ws I got put on today. Very aggressive looking, no road noise, and grip great. Look forward to seeing how they perform off road. Can't beat them for the price!

That's the one thing about the KO2s I don't dislike. They really are quiet. Maybe his are under-inflated, they do get loud if they are low on tread or have little air. But mine are very quiet.

I bought them right before a weekend at my cabin in Johnson valley.

All I can say is ... excellent!!!

They did everything I wanted from an all terrain and then some.

Solid buy IMO... and can't beat the price!
