I was originally thinking a 6112/5160 combo w/ UCAs, but still a good chunk of $$$.

What would you take for them?

Looks like added coils would be about $200 bucks with a shop setting them up with their spring compressor. I really recommend new ucas if you are going to have them set at 2"+. They are expensive but worth it.

Also I wouldn't get 5160 as they are only for like 2 inches of lift

Was eying the Light Racing UCAs. My whole thing is, do I dish out a little more to get better shocks or just make do with okay ones. All I know is that the factory ones are rough as shit on our rutted roads, dirt and pavement.

Camburg also makes a ball joint uca that looks better
If you are ever planning on going with a true midtravel setup then get some uniball UCA'S

What do you do with your truck? You really don't want to go more that 2.5" of lift with ifs.

The truck needs to be capable but I have no intentions of 'crawling' or 'flexing' as they say. Roads like 380 are about as rugged as I'll take it on, mainly to get to trailheads, campsites, etc.

Also Uniball UCA'S are more maintenance than a ball joint UCA

On my 04 I had 5100's with 883 coils gave me about 2.5" with an ARB bar and m8000 I really like the coils they handled the weight nice. But I didn't really feel the 5100's dampened enough I would use the OME heavy duty struts if I was to do it again.

I would just go 5100s set at about 1" to level the truck out and call it good. As long as you dont lift it too much you shouldn't need to worry about new ucas which will save you some cash.
