I have family near there. Fuck Shreveport. I'd rather go back to Afghanistan than live there.

I'd rather go back home to Atlanta or back to Houston. It was a promotion that I couldn't pass up so I took it. It was either here or Birmingham and I ain't lost shit in B-Ham.

My greatgrandmother has lived in Blanchard for longer than I've been alive. It used to be nice and quiet. Even it's going downhill fast.

I live in North Bossier mainly for the schools. 2.5 more years & I won't have to worry about that anymore. I'll probably move across the state line in Texas if I haven't been relocated yet again.

That's what I'm saying. 2.5 years and I don't have to worry about schools anymore.

When I say Atlanta I don't mean Atlanta. I mean a suburb of Atlanta...actually more like around Jackson or down in that area. Close enough that whatever I need is close but far enough to be away from the bs associated with the Atl.

In defense of my home state and city, B'ham today isn't the B'ham of my childhood. There's more going on here than there used to be. We've become quite a foodie town, there's more of a night scene (not that I get to enjoy it anymore), the Barons moved back downtown, they've created railroad park and the B'ham running/jogging trail... It's not a half-bad place to be anymore.

Red Mountain is a pretty cool place too. OOh, and Dreamland downtown is kinda fun.

I feel like that's becoming true of a lot of places. I've only ever stopped in Birmingham for the night a few times, with the exception of the coldest bowl game I've ever been to
