 That would be your problem.. and yes that would explain how you managed to burn up the switch, too much for heat too long.

You'll want to get those ordered from Pelfreybilt like @Coop68 did. You'll be fine if you don't get them by Sunday, you just want to go bashing into anything yet. Otherwise you risk folding that cross member under.

I should be free this Sunday too.

Having a loan on your truck is largely irrelevant. You still own it, there's just a lien on it which means you can't sell or transfer it without paying off the lienholder. Insurance, whether yours or theirs, will pay what it takes to restore the vehicle. They will NOT necessarily pay for OEM parts because aftermarket can be cheaper - and I don't mean like plate aftermarket, I mean like knock-off or at least non-OEM even if made 'to spec'. Often it can be a fight with insurance to get OEM parts due to cost. But the insurance company doesn't make the actual repairs - you do, and you can get them done wherever you want. They may only cover so much of it based on a few estimates and such, but essentially they will either pay/reimburse the repairs directly to the shop, or cut you a check for what it is supposed to cost. Once that's done you get whatever you want and put it on, but you have to pay the difference. If it's $450 for a shop to do a painted color matched bumper, and you find one on CL for $200, you pocket the difference. If you want a $900 plate bumper, you'll be ponying up another $450.

I say fuck it every year. However I was engrossed in work still as it got dark, forgot to turn the porch lights off (and kinda what day it was). Someone came to the door but didn't ring, must have just knocked softly because I didn't hear it. Dogs started barking, and when I looked out front to investigate I saw a guy with a stroller standing at the end of the driveway. At which point I went ... Had to wait until they were a couple doors down to go turn the (automatic) light off. Oh well. At least I didn't answer it with nothing to give...

I enjoy talking shit to the older kids. They have to earn my candy. All in fun tho. I look forward to it every year. I worked later this year so my wife passed out the bulk of what we had. Still a very good turnout about 100-150 kids.

I do live next to a Elementary and middle school. Plus a lot of the people around my area are vets with small kids so I have good turnouts.
