Welcome to TW. I would say this is a question for @cynicalrider. The sticker on your drivers side door jamb should say what size tires were on your truck. If originally equipped with 15s, you are good to go with 15s. If it came with 16s, then probably not. I am totally ignorant about rim fitment on first gens.

Yup. You'll need front shocks and a 1/4" spacer to correct the Driver's side "lean." I have that spacer now, but I'm still gonna use it when I switch over to 886's.

 

Surprised by how much interest there is in these. I'm not in any hurry, and have a lot of things that are a higher priority. I'll step aside and let others move forward.

Steve - the Toyota Factory leafs are still available for your brother. If he wants them, he can have them for 40 bucks and pay whenever he wants (within a year ) I know how it feels to be between jobs.

Nope. They work perfectly on my DCSB. They were recommended by Marie at Headstrong. I can't use them because I need the higher spring rate for my plate bumpers.

 

Welcome, I am almost In the same boat. it seems as 3.75 is the appropriate backspace for these trucks. I am looking to fit 285 75 16 on mine as well. I was looking for some steel wheels also

 

First gens came with both 15's and 16's. 15's are nice because you can get 33x12.5 or true 35x12.5 for much cheaper than you can in 16's. Downside is you can't do the tundra upgrade mod.

You'll need at least 3.75" BS to clear the frame anyway even with 265/75r16. As far as if you will need to trim or not depends on if you wheel. If you wheel lift doesn't mean shit, you will need to trim some stuff regardless.

I think the rear diff skid with powdercoat is holding up my order

Just landed a deal on some rear icon 2.0 resi... they just need to be rebuilt.
