The thing in the bed, what is it and how much do they run? Appears to be a viable option while hauling 1 or 2 yaks and have a tent on there, or haul 2 more yaks on that platform doohickey

I just noticed you had a 2000. That would actually be the size tubing you want. The 1x2 band looked better to me on the 2nd gen because it was bigger. Only thing I have together is the center section. It doesn't have the legs on it yet. I'd also need a 1st gen to get the spacing right to finish it.

Where are you located? If you're semi local I could drive out there and we could hack up my old rack and use the L-brackets and my D-rings then knock it out in a day or so if possible.
