DRL (Day Running Lights)

Does anyone know if the DRLs on our Tacomas are a single bulb or a LED Strip? I ask because I would like to change the color. I know there are LED bulbs you can modify the colors rite on your phone etc... Anyone have any ideas? Has anyone taken these Headlights apart yet?

If this has been asked before, my apologies if you can point me in the rite direction that would be fantastic.

 

From what I saw behind the housing when installing HIDs I believe it is a single LED on a "bulb" like stick. Meaning you could replace it. I'm fairly positive it is not a strip.

^ Thanks Buddy, that's what I was hoping for. Going to see what Bulb it is. It would be pretty neat to be able to change the color to Demon eye on my Red Taco.

Yeah changing the color could turn out nice. I think there are some legal restrictions on what color you can have emitting from the front of a vehicle...particularly red might not be allowed because of tail lights being red. Something to consider if you in California or something but would certainly not be an issue here in Alabama

And yeah I was dailying a Z for 3 years before I got my Taco a couple months ago. I'm quite enjoying having both at the same time.

 

I live in NY, it's like a communist state so I hear ya on those rules.
