I own a set of Toyo MT tires and like the way they ride and are real good mud tires. Mud is the only off roading I do. The only thing I dont like about them is they are e rated and very heavy. They are 265/75/R16. I would like a set of c rated tires in this size that does good on the hwy and also in the mud. I am not interested in AT tires any suggestions.

avs rain guards,,,tyger auto tubesteps... stealth SR8's.265/70/17,ridge grapplers..shiftsense pro...
C-rated, toyo open country,, or cooper AT 3's.. a few other options... more options with 17 in. rims... im still in the 16 inch club..lol... i liked my toyo open country's only had them a few months and i traded my 15 pro with them on there... probably get a set for this Pro in a couple months,,, D and E rated tires are overkill/heavy/dont balance as good/less power/rough ride/less gas mileage...

Yes i agree with what you said about the e rated tires. I am looking for MT tires. I never saw and AT tire that I felt had enough grip to suit me in mud.

Nitto trail grap mt in 255/75 17 are c rated. Or your toyo mt in same size. Maybe go to 17 for the size selection

I hate to move up to a 17 inch rim because i previously bought 16 inch rims to fit my toyo tires I have already.

I would probably buy some AT type tire for my everyday tires when my oem tires wear out but still want a good MT during hunting season

I would have liked to keep my 16s too but because I wanted a c rated tire as well. I had to decide wether I wanted 16s or c rated. I choose to go 17

Not really. It's such a small percentage difference that it's not really noticeable. Look at it this way, a 2% difference is 1 mph at 50mph. I don't know about you but that's good enough for me
