This site dumbs down all images. The camera doesn't matter.

It may compress images uploaded to the forum, but it doesn't (can't) do anything with images hosted externally.

That image is uploaded to the forum, not hosted externally. Again, the forum does not, and can not, compress images hosted externally. It can scale them, it can use JS to make a local copy and compress that front end, it can save the image to the backend and compress it there, but it can not do shit all to the original image hosted elsewhere.

that image is hosted externally. I used img and /img tags to display it via url.jpg. TW makes the image smaller on your screen. You aren't seeing the image in 1x1 pixel ratio on your screen

Look at the path of the image when it's displayed in the post (not edit view) - it's a local image hosted by the forum. It may very well had originally been an external image, but it was saved locally, modified, and is then re-inserted on display.

Look at my build thread - all images are hosted externally on AWS, and none are modified by the forum software in any way.

The image compression there is from Snapchat originally (low res to begin with) and then the screenshot may degrade it slightly, then uploading it here compresses it further. So yeah, not great and no externally hosted images aren't compressed.

Example, this flower I shot in Colorado in August. Taken with a Canon T3i.

Anyway, yeah. That thing is ugly as all heck IMO. But to each their own right? I don't like tuners much but I still respect them. I'll say the same with this truck. Respected but not my personal taste.

I played around with it a bit more and do see that in the case of the Galaxy image (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/trekcreative/images/7/78/Galaxy_Map-Huge.jpg), TW does download it locally and resize (+ compress?) it (when you submit / preview a post). I have not seen this happen with any other images. Why? Perhaps the request TW uses to fetch that image does not set the right headers (like a browser would) and the AWS & Imgur hosts reject it, which leaves TW with nothing but the original image to display. The host for the Galaxy image might not do that, allowing TW to download it locally. Could be a million other reasons, too.

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
That there is a good looking truck.

I respect anyone who builds their own vehicles, so partially correct. There's some guy SASing a 3rd Gen with stretched MTs over 24" Forces (or whatever) and the whole works. Posts all over Facebook "for the haters". He's simply attention seeking. There's always people saying "not my taste but I respect the work that goes into this build."

You're (not the person i'm quoting, the people commenting on SEMA trucks) kissing up to someone who can write a blank check to a shop, that at the end of the day, the hardest work they decided is Taco Bell custom wheels to rep. Censoring people to kiss your ass by "at least I respect the work in this truck" is pathetic because your (speaking to the 3rd gen SAS and other similar trucks) is nothing more than a reflection of "respecting" his/her ability to buy Instagram followers and take out loans to impress people you'll never meet and build a truck, again, "for the haters".

Edit: No disrespect to the people who simply want a better ride quality so they have a dealership or whatever install some Foxs or Icons. I'm speaking for the "built for the hater" trucks, who are constantly attention seeking via social media outlets, and expect the people who run the page to censor said "hate".
    Also had a grammar mistake

Looks like this guy has seen his fair share of SEMA mods. Parked outside of Buffalo Wild Wings last night. He was inside eating when I took this pic. He's gonna be crushin' some P tonight for sure.
