    Mine came twin scroll as well. Didn't have a choice at that time. As I needed a T4, and it was the only T4 option.

    Either way, the point is, that all of that performance improvement was with a twin scroll setup when mine wasn't. Impressive.

    I'm already into the block, and just need to figure out the head. Still need to figure out valves, seats, and springs. Cam will come with second engine.

    Got a Manifold from a guy overseas on the way, need to grab an exhaust flange from LCE(they want 200 for the flange) and have a manifold put together, and I have a solution for stock placement high flow injectors and everything else is common turbo stuff and things.

    Cool bro. I weighed between the TRD and the URD and decided I liked the TRD better. Yeah I could have gone for way more HP but I'd also like to have the enginr last a bit before my midlife crisis hits and I drop an LS in it lol

    IIRC VVT-I is controlled by engine oil pressure, not the ECU. its just a solenoid thats either "off" or "on" depending if the oil pressure is high/low enough

    It is controlled by both. Using a reference of crank position and cam position.
