Almost exactly what I got, except I didn't get the floor mats and paid about $50 more than you did. I think anything under MSRP out the door is a fair price.

I shopped three dealers against each other. Started at $33,900 but quickly walked out.

I got quotes from 6 different dealers, immediately eliminated the highest 2. I did notice there was a little more urgency in the sales people as it got closer to the end of the month. I was really dissappointed in how many salesmen just flat out lied to me, it pays to do some research.

They got me a little on the trade, I figured it was about $15,000, but this didn't help.

    IMG_1382.jpg

The big dent there, Tires needed to aired up at least once a week, the gas door has one hinge rusted off, oil dip stick been stuck in for at least the last two oil changes. Oh and sold the cap for $750.

Honestly, the new truck meets the family needs and I was taken care of by Toyota. Got like 13K cash for the buyback of the 99 that I paid under 10 for, paid about 22K plus fees and taxes on the 09, so its loan was about 11 grand.

Don't like the sales process but am happy with my outcome.

That's some seriously crazy high tax, 3 times my tax which is admittedly on the low side. 9.5 is still above average though.

I believe Toyota also has a military rebate should that apply to you. I don't think that you necessarily have to be active duty to be eligible either.

My former neighbor worked for Toyota and says Toyota has regional pricing based on regional sales activity for example 4x4 will be cheaper in areas where the demand is lower.

You did pretty good . Let me put your mind at ease Tacomas have better resale and generally last longer than any other truck you can purchase. Fact.

Mine was around $26k, and after taxes and dealer fees it was a little more than $28k.

So far I feel like it's money well spent for a 2017 Tacoma SR access cab long bed, 4x4, 5 speed, 2.7l. I got exactly what I wanted.

    Congrats on the new truck!

That's a massive discount. Did you happen to have a trade-in as part of the deal, or was this an outright purchase?

I have placed an order for a quicksand 2017 Tacoma TRD OR DCSB 6MT with tow package and all weather mats and sills
    34,874 MSRP
1,250 military and college grad rebates
    32,774 OTD price
no trade and no sales tax in Alaska
I sold cars for years and worked to get a better price but that is hard to do when there is only one dealer for over 1000 miles.
