I constantly get people high beaming me when driving my truck .I am so tired of it and am going to look into those tint covers which I really don't like the way they look but I cant take the constant high beaming from other drivers or the middle finger from drivers in small cars in front of me .I have put different springs on the rear of the truck to compensate for the ARE cap so its not the weak stock springs causing the lights to aim high its just the Tacoms lights are to friggin bright .Anybody else have this problem and has anybody bought a set of the tint covers that can tell me where to get em ?

if you put on new springs, the front end of your truck might be lower than it was, pointing your headlights straight into the faces of all the wee little cars you drive by, so you should probably try re-aiming them

I dont think adjusting them is gonna do any good they should really be lower than the factory had them set due to the alcan springs I have on the rear of the truck.the front end is actually lower now that i replaced the "junk ass " factory springs

I'll have to look at them shining on a wall to see where they are I would have thought Toyota would have them set correctly from the factory .The trucks never been touched by anybody but me .Who's gotta link for the how to for headlight adjustment and I'll have to try it I guess .It certainly cant hurt to try if i keep getting high beamed somebody is gonna get hurt though .

Just re-align them. Here's how to adjust them (attached). It's easy. It saves you from buying and trip back to the dealer.

I'm so glad its not just me! I have cars flashing lights at me and i've noticed it so much more with this truck than my 03 4runner. i'm always looking for cops but recently i've been wondering if my lights really are that bright. They definitely don't appear to aim any higher than they should on low beam, and don't seem any brighter than the 4runner. I wonder what it is about the tacomas that appears so much brighter to other cars

If adjusting them won't do any good then why are they adjustable? I put Sylvania Silverstars in my F250 and I get the bright lights from cars all the time. I can't help it if someone is in a car that sits lower than my truck. Not a single cop or state patrol has ever hit their brights.

Pisses me off getting high beamed all the time I have had a few instances where its almost gotten real ugly on the highway due to the lights .I am gonna try to see if adjusting them helps I just dont think I should have to adjust headlights on a brand new truck .But whatever it takes I'll do thanks for all the quick responses you guys always come through .

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
How many of you are running your fogs in traffic?
    I always flash foglight douchebags.
I have a 130 lumen taclight for the really 'special' offenders.

There are 2 bolts that are behind the HL. Just adjust those to make them lower or higher. Its covered up by a black plastic cover. It snaps off.

The bottom one is to go left and right.

I have changed my lights to hids and I've got 4 hellas sitting up front generally people don't flash me. People that leave their highbeams on though get a flash of the day makers and maybe a blast of the airhorn.

people who drive cars do not understand any pickup truck or SUV headlight. We are taller than them, so F'em. Sometime somebody did high beam at me so I high beam back. Their balls or breast will drop to the floor because they got sucker!!
