Enough for a heavy RTT with two portly adults in it.

That's a pretty nice setup! Out of curiosity, with the brackets installed with no cross brace. Do you have a photo of the tonneau cover folded in it's stock location, I wanna see how close your bracket is to a folded cover?

That would be awesome to see the cover folded up. Wanted to see how close the pin on the bracket is to the cover. Thanks KBV!

How high is the top of the crossbar from the top of the bed? It would be nice to keep the RTT I plan on buying in line with the roof to keep MPG's good. And for that matter will a folded cover fit under the crossbar?

The crossbar is 6" higher than the bed side.

The first fold of the factory cover will fit under the bar.

Also keep in mind that the bars can be removed and put back on in under 30 seconds with the included knobs.

Thanks for the photo. That is exactly what I was looking for. Great design! I will be contacting you soon. I would like to add a bike holder to the outer side of the bed so I can still utilize the full feature of the tonneau cover.

Hey there, I was really wanting to buy these but shipping is holding me back from doing so. 80$ for shipping to California seems a bit high. Any way you could help me out with a lower shipping service. I don't need them sent priority or anything special, I was guessing the shipping would be no more than 35 $

I know shipping to Cali is rough. The problem is that it's a big hunk of metal and weighs a lot. Did you enter the TW promo code?

There aren't any cheaper shipping methods than what we use, unfortunately.

Totally understand, I didn't realize how beastly these were. So how much weight could you say these would safely hold ? I really like the design and would like to use it for a RTT. My only concern was with two adults in the tent how dangerous would it be to "rock the house" you get my drift.

So you can't fit the bar over the cover when it's fully folded and strapped?

Correct. Only one fold of the factory cover will fit under the bar, which is likely all that most people will need.

We built these a little lower to help reduce any side to side sway.
