What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

What did you use to mount those pods in the lower grill? Looking to do the same thing. Looks killer by the way!

You'll love them! The only thing i may recommend before you find out for yourself, is to have them road-force balanced. Supposedly the KO2s are a little more difficult to get right. I myself had to get them road-forced due to vibrations at certain speeds. Ended up being the balance and nothing to do with driveshaft or axle shims.

Nice truck man. Going for the same black and white scheme. You should paint that front Toyota emblem white. It looks awesome and stands out really well.

 

I thought about it. I may do the mesh mod as well. I like the clean look of the mesh grilles.

What kind of vibrations did you experience? I just had 275/65/16 KO2s installed, along with an AAL. I now get a shudder from stopped to 10-20 mph. I assume it's the driveshaft and a result of the AAL and will be adding carrier bearing spacers, but I suppose it could be the tires.

 

Only some shops will do it - they apply simulated "road-force" pressure to the wheels when balancing them.

 

I still have a very faint vibration when accelerating from 10-20ish and that is still most likely due to the driveshaft. My original vibrations were more of a hop at higher speeds (like 50-60). That was resolved by road-force. The shudder when taking off will more than likely go away when you do the CB spacers

 

Made my own mud/engine/dust etc. guards. After 1" body lift they kept tearing and didn't cover anything above the coilovers. Decided to make one big piece and utilize more of the factory holes than the originals. Came out pretty well and looks pretty clean if you ask me. @SamGoingHam
