I have no experience in it. Ask @Blackdawg @cynicalrider or @alee891 they've all done it. I'm probably forgetting somebody my bad if I did

I know @jubei777 took a while to do his tub as it is very meticulous and if you're gonna do it, do it right the first time and clearance evrything.

What's your complaint with the 1" body lift?

With that body lift it will be alot easier.

Wasn't bad for us, most of my clearance was gained from a whole lot of BFH. The two of us working on it barely talking or eating was about 14 hours total of work separated over 2 days. If you don't know how to or anyone who can't weld sheet metal though, it's not a job you want to take on. That being said, neither my buddy or I want to do it again anytime soon haha.

    Stuff. Also things.
Piece of cake. By which I mean literally the worst task I've had to accomplish on my Tacoma by a wide margin. It's time consuming, tedious, messy, dangerous, and very skill dependent.

That said, it was absolutely worth it. In terms of function, performance, and looks, I'm extremely happy. Just understand it ain't all about the tubbing... If you want 35s on a 1st Gen, you will have to regear or be ok with your power and torque sucking balls. Most of us aren't ok with that. Oh, and pay attention to your wheel offset and / or spacer width. Those Dirty Fives love to eat the frame almost as much as they love to eat your fenders.

It took me a few days worth of time to get the cutting done. Get used to your truck being on jack stands and taking the wheel and tire on and off about a hundred times. And metal dust. And a thousand other little tasks that pop up when you tub (kick panel trimming, replacing sound deadened, seam seal, paint, bedliner, washer reservoir relocation...)

    This.

Mike, unlike me, actually knows what he's doing.

Yeah this one is a powered sub and hits like one too. Comes with a little knob too to adjust the loudness. I've had it for a couple years and love it

+1 vote for tubbing being the worst job ever.
    35s are pretty great though

Hahaha fuck no @Wheelspinner and I winged that shit! Thankfully we had good write ups basically memorized like @Blackdawg's, @45acp's, and @mrbeggins

But this made it worth it:
Again, not banging around on every rock is great.

I know most guys bend the bracket tabs in order to fit 33s up under their trucks. Do you guys think I can just cut off the tabs where they fold and avoid dealing w/bending them out of the way? I have a 4 1/2 grinder that I would use. Thanks for your input

Why not just unbolt those two brackets? 4 bolts total.
