Ive had the ecgs bearing and seal since last year. I have the tool too. Guess it will wait until the spring. And hopefully before i get my driveway recoated. Its got brake fluid stains

 

Speaking of. I've got the CVs, seals, cotter pins, been PB blasting...anything else I should get/be doing?

So how do you swap the needle bearing without removing the CV first?

 

You don't. The CV sits in the bearing

 

I think you read it wrong... they are swapping CVs on ryan and mikes trucks... they aren't swapping cvs on davids truck... while they could do it easily and be done it doesn't make sense to do it In the rausch parking lot if he can do it in a driveway

I grew up riding dirt bikes and quads. after I shattered my leg. couldn't take the hard pounding on me legs no more my first bike was a 03 cbr600rr. I totalled that hehe the next day I bought the 1000. so it worked out

 

Apparently us humans can only fly for several seconds then have a hard impact at the end. I crashed the 600 doing a 120mph wheelie FML

I don't wheelie anymore.

 

Please take pictures the next time you do this. It was necessary for me to pull the CV out of the diff in order to remove the bushing, then drive the needle bearing into place. I cannot image how one can do this without pulling the CV shaft out of the diff, but perhaps there is some ingenuity that I have missed.
