Thank you it kind of designed itself as I put it together. Still will probably change the skid and incorporate a winch mount someday.

The mount is just surfaced welded (correct me if this is wrong), and will likely not hold up to a heavy tug and turn into a projectile. Look at every production bumper, the mounts are welded through the skin and usually on to a support member as well. That ring is pretty thin as well, a proper setup is a large clevis mount and a large clevis to go with it.

For example, here is mine. 1" thick clevis mount that is 4" long. I cut a hole in the bumper, stuck it through, welded it on both sides, and to the frame mount (the piece with the bolt in it).

I would weld it on both sides for insurance as well, but honestly if it's welded well I'd bet bumper/frame would bend before the welds break even if it doesn't go all the way through. But yea it's kind of like the double sheer vs single sheer argument.

I see what you're saying, however they are rated at 12,000 lbs and were welded on correctly.

I highly doubt they will go anywhere.

Alright Idk if you wanted to see the bar as well but I snapped a couple of those as well.

Don't have the rails that 2 gen and 3 gens have so I had to install the relentless bars a little different.

Forgive my "not so pretty installation" lmao I'm sure others can do it better, just tried to make it work.

The rack is held on by U bolts. Have droven 90-95 on highway just to test them out and they are sturdy, shake the rack by grabbing it all the time and its not going anywhere

Cool thanks I'm trying to figure out how to make ones that will bolt into the slide rail but the brackets should still work. Did they come with something that slid inside the rail to tighten down against?

Made some progress this morning, got the mounts all welded up and cleaned up with minimal warpage.

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Did have to clearance a few of the holes a little bit but nothing crazy. I'm happy with how things are coming along.

No it just brought two big washers the size of a quarter. But you can put (and a buddy of mine gave me this idea) put a metal plate on the inside of the rail and weld the two nuts where they are suppose to go. Just make the holes where they go and bam. No mess. Idk if you understood.

What's your plan for license plate mounting and a reciever?

The reciever on mine I'm happy with but I still don't have a great solution for the plate

Awesome! That was my original goal with mine but things changed and it didn't work out...

One thing to consider that took me a minute to figure out and I've seen done wrong in some "professional" bumpers... keep in mind the retainer pin on any hitch you might use. Mine fits about PERFECT but I was close to too tight!

Also, don't know if you get tow but from experience pulling a trailer for work for a while: keep in mind how the safety chains will attach.

I forgot this little feature but solved it with a modified hitch
