I am trying to figure out why my on dash tire pressure reads all 4 tires 3 psi less than when i check them via manual tire pressure gauge, i tried 3 different gauges and all show correctly except my truck dash, i even tried reset by holding it down etc and still by 3 psi below what the real reading is.

    anyone run into this?

Did you try another manual gauge? I'd try another one. If its still off, bring it in for service. I did mine the other day using a high dollar pressure gauge and they were dead on with the TPMS readings.

    Hope this helps!

Notice i stated i tried 3 different gauges :) so yes i did. and i tried on another vehicle and all 3 of these gauges agreed in reading to .5 error above read psi. so i am leaning that they are accurate.

Mine is usually 2 psi higher on a manual gauge, than the tpms. Guess I need to check that out

Pages 464 and 465 of the manual explain the button and reset procedure. There is a specific procedure, so follow that and let us know if that helped. If not, then a trip to dealer may be needed.

Tire gauges are calibrated at sea level 14.7 atmospheric pressure. You loose .5 psi for every thousand feet in elevation gain. I bet you live at 6000 feet? If so, you need to go the 3psi higher than what your tire gauge is reading.

You weren't trying to see what the reading was just after filling the tires, without driving for a while...?? If you just filled them and did a reset, the system has not had time to read the actual tire pressure.... In the Taco... you gotta drive for a while before the sensors send the info to the Computer..!

    Just saying... hope it helps.

Yea, you definitely need to drive it around for awhile and let the sensors adjust. I would do a tire pressure reset, drive around for a day, then check with a manual gauge on all 4 tires and then compare the reading of the manual gauge and the readings in the truck.
