Guys guys guys. Had the best deadlift session to date. Was on a time crunch and ran two miles on the treadmill waiting for my buddy to show up and then stretched.

    135x10
    225x5
    315x1
    405x1
    425x3
    445x3
    475x3
    500x3

Thought I was gunna poop myself on the last rep but I got it up. Old max this time last year was 495 so I've made some progress despite not deadlifting as much lately.

Legs 3x a week? What are your goals with that? I've always hit a body part once a week hard with results so just curious.

How long have you relied on food for protein over supplements? It's been over a year for me on what began as an experiment. Before that I had mrp shake in the a.m., protein shake at 9am, before 5:00 workout, immediately after, and right before bed. That was for 18 years straight... After a year I feel there was no impact. 5'11" 195lb stronger than ever:muscleflexing:

Idk, just changing things up...and also borrowing from the 5x5 which was 3x squats per week.

I've for the most part always hit every body part 2x a week

I don't see anything wrong with legs 3x a week. Mine got bigger with that, but not stronger. I'm back to twice a week now.

I actually did that whole "skwat every day" thing for a month. Thought I was gonna die.

I had some buddies do some Russian squat program where they were squatting everyday for like 11 weeks I think. They do crossfit now so I figured it was nonsense...

Starting to slowly change over to my IIFYM eating habit (I'm not calling it a diet since that's not what it is). I cooked a bunch of eggs today that I'm going to start working in and then I'll start cooking my chicken soon too. For the eggs, I used a muffin pan and cracked an egg in a muffin slot and added about a tablespoon of milk to fluff it up a bit and stirred it in the little cup. I baked them and they blew up like little egg muffins. I'll eat some in the morning. I have a feeling these meals are going to have a heavy dose of ketchup...

^^that's cool! I think individually you have to do what you like and whatever works. I have always hit a muscle hard once a week and given it time to recover.

ahhh thats awesome! that motivates me even more! i've been off of whey for maybe 2 months now and so far i like it (my wallet likes it too). i've been eating high carbs and still moderately low fat. my strength is slowly coming back so i'm happy about that. not sure how long i will be doing this but looking down the road when i start cutting again and carb cycling, i might have to get back on a high protein diet just so i can still meet my desired caloric intake.

From what I've gathered, for boneless, skinless chicken, it's about 4-5 g protein per ounce.

I alternate between bro split and upper/lower...best of both worlds

Eating the same shit everyday, condiments have become my best friend. Ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice and lemon pepper are staples.
