I do not think its associate with the howl. Mines done it since day one and only when feathering throttle. That shaft/bearing is not changing speeds when throttle is feathered.

Mine leaks too. Fist time I noticed this I wiped the oil off and now the oil is back. I'll let them know it when I bring it in for 5k service. I'm at 2k miles so far

So my second one leaks too. Now the regional tech says that is normal from overpacking with grease in manufacturing. Not sure I buy that. I ended up getting a whole new drive shaft last week and that fixed the noise I was hearing. Perhaps the out of balance shaft was causing excessive wear in my bearing.

That's gotta be your blinker fluid leaking. Make sure your hazard lights are working. And check your windshield bearings while you're at it.

I'm sorry but that's funny. Bearings in driveshafts are packed with grease, not oil.

If you live in a HOT place, the grease will separate and break down. The thinner fluids will come out at speed at the lower end of your driveshaft. Lubricate your zerks with a high heat grease for fast-moving parts that resists shearing loads.

By the way, if you ever do a water-crossing your driveshafts will leak water for a while because they are made with drainage ports. Would you want the old grease that turned to liquid to stay in there and cause a problem with the centrifugal forces while spinning at high RPMs?......No.

LOL THERES NO FLUID in there. It's just grease that heats up when driving.

This stupidity makes me wonder how some of you can even figure out how to get the truck out of park.
"My truck won't move... :angrygirl:Fix my truck, Toyota, you make broken stuff."

I may sound like a jerk, but..........READ A BOOK OR SOMETHING!!!! :gossip:Don't just show us a picture and listen to other idiots wine and cry about this garbage. FIGURE STUFF OUT FOR YOURSELVES!!!!!

It may be hilarious to see the profound ignorance.... Okay, it's funny as hell.:turtleride::jerkoff::notsure::poking::quickdraw::pccoffee::facepalm:Why am I here?!

Amazing how many people just like to bitch about other poster's issues.
If you don't have anything positive to say, don't waste your time answering with stupid, immature responses.
How soon they change their tune when it's their turn with issues...Karma is a bitch, isn't it?

I think it's normal imo, as I was looking for zeros at 200 mi, I noticed a bit of oil pooling in the same area of csb. My truck drives perfect, no vibrations or howling.
    4x4 sport btw
