There are about a thousand and a half threads to review, so I am going to make a new one regarding this. I do expect a little bit of hate from some if this is a repeat question. I have a 2012 as my profile mentions, and have noticed since acquiring it in May that the top dash (you know, the part that sees the most sun) vibrates and makes noise when I drive, especially in cooler temperatures. I assume it is likely due to the glue that was used to keep it down has dried out and the resulting noise is from plastic rubbing on plastic.

Has anyone else experienced this? What is the resolution? Removing the top piece and re-gluing?

I have a rattle behind the instrument cluster.
I have not seen this, my '11 has 142k and lots of off road and the dash is not vibrating.

The buzzing is the fan, lots of threads about that one.

take out the glove box, if there is no buzz, it's the box, otherwise you might just be pushing on the fan with the box.

Gen1 tundras have creeky, poppy, noisy dash boards especially in the cold. I just ignore it but lots of people take round foam insulation rod (5/8" or 3/4") and stuff it between dash and glass. Maybe that will help?

I think my dash is so noisy cuz of the extra vibration due to the aggressive off road tires I'm running.

i had a vibration from the little pocket in the dash under the key ignition. I pulled that out and my vibration went away. for yours, I had read somewhere that a length of small fuel line crammed between the dash and the windshield helped with an upper dash vibration. there is also the behind the glove box vibration.... and bees....

+1. Yep, this helps. On TW, someone posted in Gen 1 section a fix for this. A stretch of thin rubber hosing stuffed down between firewall/front window/dash will help. It certainly did with mine, barely anything heard now.

I've not had any other buzzing/noises in the cab but tire noise has increased a bit after my lift. Would imagine that is standard and don't care. I crank my 2004 cassette/CD radio baby! :bananadance:
