I've used Castrol Transmax before, with no issues. Good stuff.

    Stuff and junk and things...

Dealer unfortunately. And not cheap at full retail at my local dealership. Camelback is considerably cheaper but still not "cheap".

FYI I'm talking about the steel fender apron that EGR, airbox, battery, abs module etc bolts to. NOT the plastic flaps to seal off the engine bay.

Is it an auto? My friends 2016 jeep makes a pretty loud thud/clunk sound if he puts it in drive or reverse while under load (like on a steep hill) not sure what it is but he never seemed worried about it, then again it is a jeep..

Haven't been in here for like a week.

Don't know wtf is going on.

Everything these guys have said is correct.

If you're planning on tubbing, you better plan on gears as well or you're going to hate your rig.

I'll catch up on the rest some other day... but probably not.

@Blackdawg and @mrbeggins have pretty good write-ups to follow. There are also a couple good ones on TTORA.

I'm surprised I'm the only one I've seen that's blown the spiders too. But that's probably cause everyone regeared/front lockered right away.

    Hellllllll no.

I gernaded my front diff catastrophically in Canada this year. Like. Blew it up so hard it cracked the diff housing.

But I did the gears myself so that was probably the problem lol an ARB is going in next.

When did you blow yours up? And were you regeared? I missed that part in your build/this thread... Haven't been on here much as of late.

Just added some new lettering to the tailgate during lunch. The original TOYOTA lettering was peeling off and looked horrible and I wanted to replace it. As I was thinking about it I decided I didn't want to do the same old thing and liked the new lettering on the current Tacomas.

So I drew it up in CAD on my computer, exported it out as a vector graphic and a buddy of mine printed it out for me since he works for a graphics company.

I like the way it turned out, even if I do say so myself.

You and your buddy trying to make some cash? For the right price, I'd buy that and I'm sure others would too.

I guess it would depend on him. I don't mind sharing my drawing, but he would have to do the actual work of supplying them. Let me see what he says.

different strokes for different folks I guess. but to me it is way better than "YO" or "TOY" that you used to see all the time. or even TOYOTA in script lettering.

since this follows along with existing OEM badging I think its a very minor infraction if anything.

Yeah but I'm throwing that on user install error. :p  I know you def win for most front diff carnage, trust me.

Nope, bone stock front diff. Trying to climb this going the other way:

I got my front tires up on the mound but the rears couldn't get over the ledge on the bottom. Gassed it pretty hard trying to get it up there.
