URD 7th injector kit

I guess some of the 4 cyl tacoma and 4 runners. Even found some with 4.88's. I asked for door tags and received photos of the door tags and cross referenced them.

Oh yeah for sure. 4.56 seems to be the more common on a 5 speed Tacoma. I found one with a e locker too. My truck has an e locker. I probably shoulda bought it.

 

I think it depends on how many wires your O2 sensor has...4 wire = Wideband

I looked into this route, but just couldn't find anything available at the time I was regearing. Also, just make sure if you have the stock E-Locker that you get a 3rd that that is also stock e-locked. THe axle housing are different for the locked vs non-locked rear ends.

 

Yup and I missed a stock 4.56 with e locker. As of now with the 34's w/ 4.10's and only 2.5 lbs of boost at 70mph I'm at 21-2250rpm and over drive holds fairly decent but I find that it's hunting once I get into a lot of over passes one after another.

What's the deal with the TRD Ecu. If one has a TRD truck is it equipped with the TRD Ecu or is that and ad on?

Well I'll be damned. Is it a reflashed stock ECU for a S/C equipped truck? Does anybody actually know?

It is a early non tunable version of the split sec computer, basically. Something they tried to do for dealer installs.

 

I'm not aware of what capabilities split second has. Thanks for the answer though. Never knew such a thing existed.

 

Finally got my wastegate/ vacuume actuator. I'm putting out about 6lbs of boost not sure if this cheap gauge is really accurate but it did make a diff. I'm pretty happy Still have no ping. Still think I am gonna go for the 7th and a 2.1 pulley. I guess WÊE all always just want more. Until then I'm pretty happy with my build. Thanks for all yalls help. I really appriciate it. Did the grey wire mod today too. Now I just need to figure which gears I want to go with. I'm thinking of stepping down to a 33" tire so I can get a passenger tire. These 34's are load range e and ride pretty rough. I'm kind of considering goibg from 4.10 to 4.30 Toyota gear swap it's cheaper and easy swap. I know everyone says 4.56 by I think that's gonna be to low for my driving. My truck is just right there on the edge of needing just a little bit lower gear.

there is no reflash for 1st gen trucks. Just because a link labels it as such doesn't make it a thing. It would be like me selling my ecu and titling it "trail teams ecu" just because I can.

 

Thanks for your input. The only thing I'm aware folks have done with the stock ECU is re-PROM it so this was really curious to me. The only thing that throws me about that ECU is that it's wrapped in a nonstock TRD box that looks pretty legit.

I did some research and apparently it's a discontinued item. Not sure what the difference is.

 

In any case, definitely don't buy it. Who knows WTH it does (though I really wish some OG would say definitively what it does and how many were made) It even looks like seller has 2 of them, serial numbers #165 and #359 You'd be better off getting an AEM FI\C 6, or whatever calibrator goes with the 7th kit.
