I went to get my sticker at a local chain. The license plate light was out..didn't realize it, but for $10 I let them do it since it was raining out.

The tech comes back and says my running lights are out now. I use the running lights always (not DTRL equipped) and when he says they worked when I pulled it in I said "well yes so then they need to work when I leave". He said oh we didn't do anything we just changed the plate light.

Then tells me I have aftermarket taillights so that's the problem.

Haha. I have a 2010 and it has the factory LED which I told him and he said I have no clue what I'm talking about. Idiots!

    Too funny

Finally yes. The fuse popped when they changed the plate light, but they swore they checked the fuses. I told them politely they best check them again because I am not leaving until they work like they did in the first place even if I have to camp out in the bed of the truck. I then asked which box they checked and they rather arrogantly said "there's only one...under the hood". I was happy to tell him where the one inside the cab is and he said he's never heard of that in all his years..till he looked again.

Wow. That guy needs to go back to mechanics school because cars have had interior junction blocks for years now. My first truck was a 91 chevy 1500 and it had a fuse box inside the cab... "in all his years".... haha! more like in all his lack of experience

God, my 79 Mustang had it inside. Come to think of it so did my 77 Malibu.

Still debating whether to call and tear the person in charge a new one

When I was very young the only fuse block on the car/truck was inside under the dash. There was none under the hood. But then they didn't have near as many fuses then as they do now...

My first truck was a 1949 Ford, which was much simpler.

No way somene that works on cars 40 hours a week doesn't know that there is an internal fuse box on most vehicles. Fraud.
