I just had General Grabber AT2s LT245/75R16s put on my truck by the dealer. Can you tell me what air pressure is best to run. I am entirely on pavement, and carry no cargo. Thank you

33 is too low in my opinion,I usually run 8lbs less than what max tire psi is.I know some may disagree but I never had an issue with tread wear in any of my vehicles all being trucks.Wranglers on my Tacoma now say max psi is 51lbs,I run them all year at 43.

My truck has a p tire pressure listing of 32 on the inside of door! The dealer put 33 in the LT rated tire E load?? Way too much rain here for the chalk test

So you would run these at 72lbs? that would seem a little too high IMO

Until it stops raining, use your best judgment. Don't have so much air that the tires don't grab for traction or stop when braking. The truck is light and doesn't need E rated tires... unless you are hauling bricks. So, with that in mind, find a happy spot between the P-metric recommended 32 psi and the E rated 80 psi or whatever that is on the tire... in short NEVER run at the max pressure listed on the tires unless you are running that much weight on the tires they are rated for (more than the Tacoma is rated for).

My tires (Dynapro ATM) are rated for 44 psi max, and I did the chalk test and found 34 psi to be close to ideal.

Yes, IF you keep the SAME type tires on the truck.

Lets use some retard logic here. 2500 trucks with 1500lb+ diesel engines/trans with E ply tires call for 55-60psi. Now why the hell would you come anwhere close to than with less the 1/2 the weight?

To the OP, I've ran 10 ply tires since nearly day one. 32-35psi is perfect.

To add to this, my truck has had 4 sets of E rated tires in it. Ran 32-35 in all of them

those tire pressures on the door plaque are for comfort. I always run 34-35 on my '11. no unusual wear.
