Any bender you like specifically? I'm looking at the cheap speedway motors bender, have used it before and seems to perform well, just seeing if you have an alternative.

Can't wait to see it, and the kit is killer man, haven't run into any issues yet, besides the shocks, a nice rebuild and revalve took care of that issue real quick. Thanks, definitely a good purchase. Will probably get a fabricated spindle soon though.

I love my JD squared with the HF ram jack. I don't know about the speedway motors one. I bought mine before the cheap ones came out.

You owe us pics with this mystery cage you are building and talking about.

Yeah it is a splice with an inner slug with a rosette at each end. Definitely frowned upon in that location on that particular tube. It's not a truck for racing or recommend people doing that technique. Doing it over again, I'd for sure notch it into the dash tube to make that section a lot easier on me than defaulting to a splice.

Finally parked her at home after almost a week of having it sitting in a parking lot. It is the same height as the Raptor at the hood and the Raptor is sitting on it's mid-perch.20161103_151907_HDR~2.jpg

So, I've run into a problem trying to mount my resi's to my frame on my Fox coilovers. First, for a temporary fix, I had them zip tied (crappy I know, but they didn't come with brackets when I ordered them). Just ordered some resi mounting brackets from Downsouth and they won't work because 1. The hose is crazy long for some reason so I can't really manipulate it to work in a tight space and 2. The fitting connecting to the resi itself is straight forward (working with camburg spec DSC coilovers).

Might be a way to fix it if I can move the fitting to the resi 90 degrees downward. Can I do this without taking apart the entire shock? Can provide pics if needed tomorrow.

Sleeved and rosette/plug welded splices are actually stronger than just a plain piece of tubing. I know it's frowned upon but why? Tubes usually fail at bends anyway

Score racing specs says it needs to be one piece. They usually have the most strict rules. Other race organization might let my cage pass. I wanted a pretty tight A pillar fit so that is why my splice is there. Also I don't have the talent yet to be a really good tube bender in that section of cage. I'm no expert in the rules of off road racing. It's just a low budget play truck.

I think they will be great in mid travel dd weekend warrior builds. Id run them on mine. They probably last longer and are easy to maintain and won't make noise.

How much you think your truck will weight? if its iver 4000 or 4500 it has to be 2 inch so you'll ever get to race anyways. mines just a play truck

If u wanted to u can race like all the smaller events, they hardly even look lol, shit jumpchamps if you were the only one in the car they didn't even care if u had a cage, just a helmet. I built mine with 1.75" knowing full well score wants 2". But yea I don't plan on racing some big race, small stuff maybe but mostly I don't want to die doin somthin fun much less get maimed in a rollover, over going to the hospital for about every hobby I've been in and I'm over it, hence rollcage lol. And racing costs A Lot of money to do right, my buddy races 1450 once or twice a year and it costs at least a grand or two to race each time, no thanks I'll pit for him allll day lol
