This is a dumb question but....

i just got OME dakars in the mail and one is taller than the other (i know one is for one side and blah blah) but how do i know what side which goes to? I want to say the CS04GRA is drivers and the CS04GRB is passenger

 

Call the place you bought them from.

 

The taller spring goes on the US spec driver side.

 

It did not specify when you ordered them??

 

Yeah like cruiserguy mentioned, just by going on looks alone the "taller" pack will be the drivers side due to the added weight on that side of the vehicle...
Im sure a quick Google search would get ya what part number is for what side. Either from a search through here (but using google) or just a generic search using Google. I know ive seen that question in here a few times though, id do a search for here and im sure youd find that info! Again, and maybe you already know but use google to search in here! Not the taco world search feature, it sucks. Just type what you are looking for followed by tacoma world. Doing it like that usually works like a charm much faster with much better results!

I got it all figured out and got them on...much better ride but i need some good rear shocks ASAP lol

 

Any thoughts on skyjacker shocks? Im getting 5100s for the from with OME coils but if i can save 100$ and get something alittle cheaper for the rear i would love that lol

Skyjackers are the equivalent of bolting a piece of 2x4 in place of shocks.

 

Match your shocks up.

 

What about ranchos?

 

5125s will match better to the ome leafs than 5100s length wise.

 

Willing to go with crap for $10-15 less?

Tbh id consider 5100s shit aswell. i mean they will more than likely outperform the ranchos but depending on how you abuse them they wont last as long (just based off the design of the ranchos being a non charged twin tube). i once hooned my truck down a bumpy forest road long enough for my 5125s to get hot enough that the rubber boot basically melted some and slipped off. theyve been leaking ever since.

 

you will regret saving ~$100 and having a horrible ride quality. Don't eat out 5 meals, and you will have your savings. Assuming you use your truck daily, its a no brainer to me.

 

Go with a quality shock and you won't be disappointed...

I have the dakars in the rear and went with the fox 2.0.

Well for now i dont have $ in my budget for rear shocks over 50$ a piece and i need to get something to hold me over since my shocks now are shot. You guys forget duck season is almost here and costs $$$ lol.
